Well, miraculously we all got to Salt Lake City on time today and after a SNAFU with going to the wrong FEDEX store, we started off for the long drive to Moab. But first we stopped for lunch in Provo UT. This is a pic of downtown Provo and the Church of Latter Day Saints.
The drive was sometime boring and sometimes very interesting and sometimes just nothing for long stretches of road. Here is a set of wind turbines just outside of town.
Also not far from town we say this active fire including helicopters dropping water

As we neared Moab, the scenery got much better
The house is great and I'll post pics of that in a later journal. We assembled our bike as as usual, took a test ride up a steep hill
And there was some good scenery here too!

Dinner was at the Moab Brewery .. all in all off to a good start except for my flat tire woes .. more on that in later journals
